Excitement is in the air
There's so much excitement in the air currently. Firstly, "Island in the Sky" had started it's production and the cast has also blend in well with the soundtracks. Even the theme song sounds so well, but I feel it should need more editing for a better impact Ummmph!
Secondly, "The Eric Factor" also started Season 3's 1st episode shoot. A cute music was included to "spice" the humor scene. I'm not gonna leak too much spoilers for both shows yet. So, stay tune. Hahaha
Here's something I'd leak instead. The "Christmas with Friends by Aubrey Suwito" is soon to be in-stores by mid November. Woohoo~! Here's a preview of the cover:
The CD is available for advance orders and you can do it via the studio, Big Bash himself or you can also tumpang me. Hahaha.
The CD is RM28 each and if you want them to send via Pos Laju (4 cds max) is RM6 in Pen. M'sia or RM8 to the East. Or, if you can wait, you can go to all Cannanland Bookstores in mid-nov onwards.
I've already start preparing my Xmas list to see whom I will be sending it to. :P~
Oh well, speaking of festivity, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all my friends who would be celebrating their Deepavali holidays. Awww... I miss Guna's dad's rendang already. Hahaha.
Wait... hold your horses. There's another festivity round the corner? Well, besides Christmas, it's of course CNY! Ya, some of you may think it's a little too early but the producers etc managed to talk to me while I did my Official Visits to many places including the Hospital! Yeah... talk about work and discuss at the same time. Phew...
Let's work backwards to see the schedule. CNY is in early Feb. Well, the Year of the Rabbit actually begins on Lunar Feb 3rd to be precise. So... that means, the CDs or DVDs or all sorts of merchandises and promos will start at 1st Jan or so. (If you go to Sg Wang, you'll be surprised... directly after 25th Dec, well not just 26th Dec la, sometimes, even before Xmas they already start PLAYING CNY songs.)
That means, printing, packaging, censorship, rights and distribution and many more production work will be done by Dec 2010. That leaves us to actually start shoots for the MV and studio editing work right now in Nov 2010 as we speak. Alright, it sounds weird but I did start helping the Star Media fellas compose and play/hymn some tunes early last and this week already. I'm so in the festive mood, I wish it's already here.
Wonder if I could get people to do greetings on video. Or... some friends and those who willing to come together and sing a line or two to make into a nice montage for Xmas/CNY. That would be FUN!
Ok, I'll stop dreaming. This is Malaysia. Everyone is as shy and scare-dy-cat when it comes to asking anyone to do such things. But then again, it could be just people around me. Cos, the modern open people even start doing Flash Mob dances. So, what's stopping them from doing something which some may think it's pathetic or crazy or (eat free nothing to do meh? siaw ah?)... right, rampant runts are over. I could see if this really happen, it would be such a mood cheer for the charity people like orphanage and old folks home etc. Even for the normal public, it's festive aura boosting enough.
Again, back to earth. I'll just imagine and maybe... just maybe, it may come true. It's just Excitement in the air.

Robust day and mentality
It's another day filled with robust challenges and different mentality. It's tiring that I had to reach home at 3.30am and slept at 4.30 but kick-started my day at 6.45am just to get things rolling by 8.45.
First things first, many people sent their well wishes via me to BIG BOSS who is not exactly having chicken pox. It's an early sign of it, but since it's treated immediately and responding well to the medication, I'd say, it's just rashes with joint pain and muscular aches. Even I have muscular aches too. Went for Head, Shoulder and Hand massage yesterday with my buddy just to make sure it's rejuvenated. We're really feeling so much better after that.
Oh well, next there's also the visit of Julia Gillard and her administration. The first official visit to Malaysia as Prime Minister of Australia. In other official business, there's the cabinet briefing, the European Officials and US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton and Entourage here as well and then proceeding to Parliament Seating. While I'm at that, I just want to tell those who freak out (like Raymond did when he heard about my OK-ing to the proposed raise of the service tax from 5% to 6% for the Budget 2011 the other time). There's not going to be a BIG IMPACT to normal car users. PLEASE! Don't bombard my phone about it. I chose not to post or comment about it already, yet all of you wanna debate some more. Hello, you're not driving and expensive, damn changgih car that MUST pour RON97 into it. What's 5sen/liter to you if you can afford such a luxurious car. Well, with the exception of the minority such as people like my "poor" friend Khai who drives a Naza Bestari 206 - which is a remake of the Peugeot 206 and MUST run on RON97. Else, humans residing in Malaysia, calm down. Diesel and RON95 no increase in price. No impact on you. That has been the best move for our team to have devised such a "plan" to best fit people first; achievement prioritized. (Geez, beginning to sound like one of ya'all).
In other turn of events, we move into the private business section. There's M-IFW by MIFA that's starting tomorrow. Loads are scheduled for a colorful week. And discussions on the 3rd KLIFF or Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival 2010 (from 24th to 28th Nov) was very fruitful. In fact, other more fruitful conferences are like the 1 Malaysia Golf Challenge 2011. I'm so excited and looking forward to that. There's also the Futsal thingy and Green Technology thingy too. Oh, and Bryan and team's ISAR campaign. Sigh.. so much to talk about. I even had a good time after going back to my vacated office room in Level 75 today. I've not gone back there for about 2months now. It's like so clean but piled with tonnes of work and files etc awaiting my presence. So, I've scheduled tomorrow to go back there and sit down and look into all of them again. Tower 1 is excited to see me once again. Hahaha.
Ok, moving into personal stuff. Of cos, it's my passion. Weeks ago, during the media release and conference of 'Escape from Jiangnan'; the producers had announced that due to the popular demand and major flooding of fan mails to their office requesting and asking about when will they ever make the continuation to an old hit series I've created with them; they decided to start work on Season 3 of 'The Eric Factor'. As they announced it, everyone was so excited and fans poured lots of ideas and suggestions including plots to us. The director and producers asked if I wanted to work on it and I saw my 'baby' was once again to be seen on screens. I agreed to help compose their scores, write the scripts and screenplay as well as this will be my first time to also co-direct in terms of working on aspects such as the cinematography, the camera angles as well as soundtracks etc. I will also reprieve as the role of Eric and this season will include a few more supporting characters including a neuro-surgeon consultant who is naive and yet seductive. This role is announced to be played by the famous Emily Kiu. The cast will also see an addition of a hardworking forensic specialist and a psychologist who will be helping Gilbert in his cases. More synopsis later. Here's a little spoiler though. A character will be dying in this Season finale. The producers will also be interactive to let some contests be the decider of certain scenes and their outcome as well as to some characters of their change in life path.
Ok, more private stuff now. Had some short time, so I spent those moments with my daughter Sophie. Had a quick thought that I've not had much time with her for the past 2 yrs (OMG, she's turning 3 in 3 mth's time!) so, i have to make it up and give my time to her. We played and she really was cute and shy. Still better than before. Her smiles are so genuine now and lovely-dovey. Playful and naughty as she can be, climbing around us, wanting us to carry her and pamper her. She was playing with the puzzles which is meant for 3yrs and above. Goodness, how smart she has become. She also mess the play room alot and play catch with the rubber ball all by herself. She could recite from 1 to 15 too. She's still clingy onto Playhouse Disney and starts dancing with some of the tunes.
As Chris and I were chatting about other cartoons, we realized that nowadays, most of the cartoon are getting immoral and violent to the sense that, it's not suitable for viewership even as an adult. Parental Guidance is really required. Ben 10 fights too much. Shaun the Sheep is teaching kids to bully the dog and deceive the farmer. What is going on with cartoon nowadays? No doubt some has good content and teaching issues but some stories are just bad influence.
Oh well, looks like another day to wrap up things. Before that, I was talking to ZM about her "Dark Chocolate" and then, "Red Bean" appeared online and we're still discussing on things as we speak (wow, hours already!). Time to put full concentration in making it my new "Milk Chocolate" =)
