Steps:
- Be sensitive to the need of each other. When you notice any differences in your partner's behaviour, ask how is she/he is; is he/she tired or happy? A lot of times we fail to ask how our partner is because we often times so wrapped up in ourselves that we neglect each other.
- Don't mix up the house environment with work environment. If there is any problem that is frustrating at work don't bring it at home.
- Once in awhile give something to each other to cheer each other up. It can be a kiss, hug, candle, or a simple thank you. Remember that celebrating your loved one is not just for Valentine day.
- Be grateful for the things each other has.
- Look at the big picture. Don't waste each other's energy on the things that don't matter. Those things are people's affairs or non-constructive arguments.
Tips:
- Don't try to be perfect, just be you.
- Look for positive things in each other.
- Trust each other.
- Forgive each other if you have an argument.
- Don't rush into anything.
- Have patience with each other.
